In addition to VA Rules & Regulations, we have other in-house rules for all coaches, fighters and teams.  Here is a brief summary of them:

    • Ticket sales- We encourage ALL of our fighters & gyms to try to pre-sell as many tickets as possible.  We can arrange for all fighters to be able to sell pre-sell tickets via promo codes and/or hard copy tickets.  NOTE: Commissions cannot be paid directly to amateur fighters as it would be considered compensation to fight and then the fighter would be considered a pro.  We can give commissions to gyms, coaches or other representatives of a fighter but they must be signed for and responsible for returning all money owed and any lost or stolen tickets.

    • Promo codes- We have electronic promo codes that ALL fighters, coaches, teams, etc may have.  All promo codes expire the Wednesday immediately preceding each event.  These promo codes can be set-up to:
      • either give a $5 discount to the purchaser immediately upon purchase, OR
      • track a fighter or gym’s sales so we can give a $5 commission to the gym, coach, etc.
      • NOTE: Commissions cannot be paid directly to amateur fighters as it would be considered compensation to fight and then the fighter would be considered a pro.  We can give commissions to gyms, coaches or other representatives of a fighter but they must be signed for and responsible for returning all money owed and any lost or stolen tickets.

    • Hard copy tickets- Fighters and gyms may also sell hard copy General Admission tickets within these guidelines:
      • you must pre-pay for them or have sold them for us before
      • you must not have any outstanding debt or tickets owed to us
      • all ticket money must be turned-in the Wednesday immediately preceding each event unless otherwise agreed upon by us
      • NOTE: Commissions cannot be paid directly to amateur fighters as it would be considered compensation to fight and then the fighter would be considered a pro.  We can give commissions to gyms, coaches or other representatives of a fighter but they must be signed for and responsible for returning all money owed and any lost or stolen tickets.

    • Ticket commissions- Pre-sale ticket commission are as follows:
      • Promo codes: $5 discount to your customer OR 10% commission to the seller
      • Hard copy GA tickets:
        • 10% discount/commission that may either be kept by seller or savings passed on to your customer if you collect tickets to sell without pre-paying
        • 10% discount/commission + $5 per ticket sold if tickets are pre-paid
        • 10% discount/commission + $5 per ticket sold if fighter sells MORE than $1,000 in ticket sales (per fighter basis, not per gym basis)
        • 10% discount/commission + $10 per ticket sold if tickets are pre-paid AND more than $1,000 in ticket sales (per fighter basis, not per gym basis)
      • NOTE: ALL money and unsold tickets MUST be returned to us by 9 PM the Wednesday before the event.  It is up to the ticket seller to get the money to us by that time.  If ALL money and/or unsold tickets are not returned by that time then ALL of the ticket seller’s tickets WILL be voided.  Voided tickets will not be accepted at event and it will be up to ticket seller to refund all tickets sold.  Commissions cannot be paid directly to amateur fighters as it would be considered compensation to fight and then the fighter would be considered a pro.  We can give commissions to gyms, coaches or other representatives of a fighter but they must be signed for and responsible for returning all money owed and any lost or stolen tickets.

    • Weigh-Ins- Weigh-ins are held the night before our events at Hooters in Chantilly from 7-9 PM.  Fighters will be notified if this changes.  Gyms/coaches will receive ONE FREE General Admission ticket for each fighter that MAKES WEIGHT at their originally scheduled weight (including 1 pound allowance).  Fighters that do not make weight may still be able to fight by agreement of their opponent, opponent’s coach and Cagezilla only.  Fighters may not fight someone weighing 15 pounds more or less than them, except for Heavyweight or Super Heavyweight fighters.

    • Fighter pics- all fighters need to submit a fight pose pic for the fight card and face off posters upon registration or as soon as possible after their registration.  Fighter pics can be sent to fighters@oofights.com.  Pics can be as simple as a fight pose taken after practice on a smart phone.  We just ask that you try to make them as hi-res as possible, the background should be one solid color that contrasts with your clothing, hair color and skin tone.

    • Intro songs- Due to time constraints, adult language or other reasons, all fighters may not get intro songs.  We will make every effort to have intro songs for all fighters however.  Fighters should send their fighter intro song requests (mp3 if you have it or title and artist at least) to music@cagezilla.com.  Intros will be no longer than 30 seconds.

    • Blood testing- all blood test results must be submitted to bloodwork@cagezilla.com at least ONE WEEK prior to their fight unless other arrangements have been made.  These are confidential medical records and will not be shared with anyone other than sanctioning officials, our staff that handles blood testing and/or anyone that you direct us to share them with.  Blood tests are valid for 180 days.  Fighters must be tested for HIV, Hep-B and Hep-C within 180 days of their fights.  No exceptions.  You can get blood work from done in many ways but requestatest.com can often get testing done on the day you call/register online or the next day at a facility near you and results the following day.  Their cost is $89 and you can ask them for the “combatives trio” and they’ll know that it’s for HIV, Hep-B and Hep-C.  Getting results can take over a week if you get it done at your doctor and especially if you go to Urgent Care, Patient First or similar facilities.  They may require a doctor’s referral before taking blood.  So you may be billed for two appointments and it sometimes costs more than just going to requestatest.com.  We have no affiliation with requestatest.com and do not receive money from them.  They are very reliable and proficient though.

    • Physicals/Doctor’s Note- all fighters must either have a physical done or a note from a physician stating that there are “no know physical impediments” to you fighting.  The physical or not must be done within 180 days of your fight.  Click here to download forms.

    • Cornermen- all fighters must have at least ONE cornerman.  If your cornerman cannot make it the day of the fight we can usually arrange for another coach to corner you but it is not guaranteed.  Non-title fights may have up to TWO cornermen total.  Title fights may have up to THREE cornermen total.

    • Cornermen registration cut-off- cornermen MUST register no later than 5 PM on fight day unless other arrangements are agreed upon in advance by Cagezilla and the GCA.  ANY cornermen registering after 5 PM will have to pay for a General Admission ticket at the door and MAY be allowed to register with the GCA as a cornerman after 5 PM at their discretion.

    • Medical Insurance- all fighters must have their own medical insurance in order to compete at Cagezilla.  You must sign a waiver acknowledging that you have medical insurance and who your carrier is.  We will not check for insurance cards or other private information but you must attest to it by your signature.
